The week of May 20, 2012, our nation’s small business owners will come together online and in Washington, D.C. for National Small Business Week. Hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the event includes educational forums, networking sessions and an awards ceremony recognizing the impact made by outstanding American entrepreneurs and small business owners in 2012. The free educational forums this year cover topics like small business exporting, social media tips and best practices and how to win federal government contracts.
As part of the celebration, SBA has also launched the National Small Business Week Video Contest giving small business owners and entrepreneurs an opportunity to share their success stories and help to inspire others.
Three winning videos will be featured during National Small Business Week and shown during a Google+ Hangout hosted by SBA Administrator Karen Mills and the White House on May 23. Qualifying videos that don’t win will be showcased on SBA’s YouTube page. The deadline for video submissions is May 11.
